Leading Star Company is a trading company or a
processing enterprise?
A: Leading Star Company was a trading
company in nature when it was founded in 1983.At
the end of the nineties, Leading Star Company
established five food processing enterprise in
Gansu, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Yunnan and Xinjiang of
Mainland China, mostly producing pumpkin seed
kernels, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seed kernels,
pine nut kernels, walnut, raisins,beans, a variety
of preserved fruits and dehydrated vegetables etc.
Nowadays, Leading Star Company has already become
a processing syndicate. Sometimes our mighty
productive capacity might not meet the huge demand
of our customers. Under such circumstance, we will
purchase a small quantity of goods from other
suppliers, but with the prerequisite of quality
assurance.
2. I can
see that you have a great variety of products and
your headquarters is located in Hong Kong. It
makes me feel that you are a trading company
selling things you have bought. Is that
true?
A: Some customers did have the same
question. Actually, we have a great variety of our
products because we have five large-scale food
processing factories in Mainland China and they
have different product lines.And of course, as
what we have mentioned in the first question, we
have about 5% of goods procured from other
suppliers.
3. Do
you produce organic foods?
A: Yes. Since 1998, we established eight organic production bases respectively in the areas like Heilongjiang and Inner Mongolia, covering an cultivated area of 10000 hectare. We have about 30 kinds of agricultural products such as pine nut ,sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, vegetables, goji berries and apples etc. , which are all BCS, CERES,ECOCERT or OCIA certified. The production bases annually produce over 1000 tons of organic sunflower seeds, 1000 tons of organic pumpkin seed kernels, 400 tons of organic pine nut kernels, 300 tons of organic walnuts, over 200 tons of organic goji berries, over 5000 tons of organic apples, over 1000 tons of organic vegetables .
4. What
certificates you have already?
A: Our five factories have obtained
ISO9001:2000 and HACCP certificates issued by the
authorities such as SGS, and more than 30 kinds of
products have been BCS, IMO, ECOCERT, OCIA
certified. Moreover, over 40 kinds of products are
awarded with KOSHER certificate.
5. What
kind of equipment is used for the processing of
foods?
A: Most of our factories have color
selecting machine, destoner, gravity vacuum
separator, screening machine, core crushing
machine, sundries separator and cyclone duster
imported for USA, British x-ray machine , and
China-made metal detector, sterilization machine
and magnet etc, in order to guarantee the high
quality and high purity of our products and to
remain our products free of malignant
substance.
6. Are
you going to attend international foods
exhibitions all over the world?
A: Yes. We take part in world-famous
foods fairs every year.
7. In
case of quality issue, can we lodge a complaint,
claim for compensation, ask for replacement or
return of goods?
A: Yes, you can. If our customer has
founded quality issue, our QC personnel will trace
the record from raw material, storage, to
processing and delivery, carry out analysis and
look up the causes. If the quality issue is caused
by us and has resulted in the loss of our
customer, we will compensate the customer and
replace goods, according to actual situation. In
case of serious quality issue, the customer may
require the return of goods.
8. How
long it will take for you to solve the problem of
complaint?
A: According to our rules, you will
have our reply about our inquiry and way of
disposal right within the date we received the
complaint. And you will have our investigation
result within 3 to 7 days. The period concerning
compensation claim and return of goods will last a
bit longer. But we promise that we will solve the
problem as soon as we could, to meet your
satisfaction.
9. How
can you guarantee the safety and sanitation of
your products?
A: Normally we have the following
measures to do so: first, our factories and
workshops are constructed according to HACCP
standards. Second, our factories have been
ISO9001:2000 and HACCP certified. The company
organization operates according to these two
standardized systems and our employees strictly
implement sanitary standards in production. Third,
we have invested a lot in purchasing advanced
equipment from USA, England and other foreign
countries, for example, destoner, gravity vacuum
separator, X-ray machine, metal detector, color
selecting machine, microwave sterilization machine
etc.
10. Do
you have a product recall system
available?
A: Yes, we have a complete product
recall system.
11. Do
you have a product tracing system
available?
A: Yes, all our factories have a
complete record about storage, production and
transport. It is traceable from raw material to
finished products.
12. Do
you have microbe detection and chemical analysis
on your finished products?
A: We have chemical analysis section
in every factory and we make regular check on
microbe and culinary value. And we entrust
authoritative organizations with the detection of
other items.

Can I only buy one bag (carton) of your
products?
A: Sorry, you cannot. We do not
handle retail business and we have big quantity
processed. Taking pumpkinseed kernels for example,
the annual output of our factories reaches 9000
tons. In general, we sell our products to brokers,
packinghouses and super malls etc. outside China,
and we do not sell directly the end users.
